Fly trap types we quote
Sticky fly ribbons are the classic hanging coil: a glue-coated paper strip rolled inside a small tube with a pull-out pin and hanging loop. They are cheap to ship, sell in 4-, 8- and larger multipacks and are a staple of barn, stable and household ranges. Flat fly paper and fly boards — printed, glue-coated sheets that hang, fold into a tent or stand on a counter — are covered on our fly paper page.
Disposable fly bags are outdoor bag traps with a funnel top; the buyer adds water to activate a dry attractant. The bag, funnel and hanger are hardware; the attractant can be configured to comply with your market’s regulations or supplied by you. Window fly traps are clear, glue-coated decals or films that stick to glass and catch flies landing on windows — popular in kitchen and home ranges because they are discreet.
Fly light glue boards are replacement boards for UV and LED insect light traps used in food service, food processing and retail. We cut and print boards to the buyer’s drawing for the units they sell or service; we do not claim compatibility with any named brand. Reusable fly traps (jar or bottle bodies with a funnel and a reservoir) round out outdoor ranges alongside wasp traps.
Fruit fly traps
Fruit fly traps are a large, separate demand stream from house fly traps: small, countertop-friendly units for kitchens, bars, cafés and produce areas. We supply the hardware for the common formats:
- Jar and fruit-shaped bait traps — small PP or PET bodies (apple, lemon, jar or cup shapes) with a perforated or funnel lid and a reservoir for a liquid lure.
- Sticky fruit fly cards and stakes — small yellow glue cards, often on a plant stake for houseplants where fungus gnats are the real pest (see yellow sticky traps).
- Combo units — a bait cup with a sticky lid insert, sold with refills as a recurring SKU.
Liquid lures and refills can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations or filled with the buyer’s own formulation. We do not publish catch rates; buyers who need performance data usually run their own trials on pre-production samples.
Materials and glue
Fly trap substrates are usually coated paper or paperboard (ribbons, flat paper), PET or PP film (window traps, clear boards) and PP or PE bodies (bags, jars, reusable traps). Glues are typically non-drying hot-melt or polybutene-based adhesives; the glue type, coat weight and tack are specified per SKU depending on whether the trap hangs indoors, in a hot barn or outdoors in sun. Scented (food-grade odor) or unscented versions and transparent or tinted glue are configurable. Details are in our glue board sizes & adhesive types guide.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a fly trap and fly paper?
“Fly trap” is the whole category — ribbons, bags, window traps, jars and fly light boards. Fly paper is the flat or ribbon glue-coated sheet within that category.
Do you supply fruit fly traps?
Yes — jar and fruit-shaped bait trap bodies, sticky fruit fly cards and refill packs. Liquid lures can be configured to comply with your market’s regulations or filled with your own formulation.
Are your fly traps non-toxic?
Sticky ribbons, fly paper and window traps work with glue only and contain no insecticide. Bag and bait traps use an attractant, which is configured per market regulations. We do not make safety or efficacy claims beyond describing the materials.
Can you make glue boards for my fly light units?
Yes. Send the board drawing or a sample; we cut, print and pack to it. We do not claim compatibility with named third-party brands.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.
Are your traps EPA registered, certified or tested for catch rates?
We supply trap hardware — trap bodies, glue boards, sticky cards and station housings. We do not claim EPA or state pesticide registration, certifications, efficacy or catch/kill rates. Where a lure, attractant or bait is part of the finished product, it can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations for any pesticidal component stay with the brand owner. Test reports can be discussed on request where available — ask on the inquiry form.
