Fly paper sticky ribbons, flat sheets and fly boards under your brand

Fly paper is the simplest, most-shipped fly control product there is: a glue-coated paper that catches flies without insecticide. TrapForge produces hanging fly ribbons, flat and fold-up fly paper, tent-style counter traps and long barn rolls with your print, glue specification and packaging.

  • Coiled ribbons, flat sheets, tent folds and barn rolls
  • Non-drying glue specified per use: household, barn, outdoor
  • Printed paper, tubes and multipacks with your branding
  • Insecticide-free glue formats — no efficacy claims made

Fly paper formats

Coiled fly ribbons — a paper strip glued on both sides and rolled into a cardboard or plastic tube with a pin and hanging string. This is the most common retail fly paper SKU, sold in 4-, 8- and 12-packs or display boxes. Barn and stable ribbons are longer and wider versions sold to farm and equine supply, often with a reel or a hanger kit.

Flat fly paper sheets are printed paperboard coated on one or both sides; they hang, lie flat or fold into a tent or triangle for countertops, windowsills and food-service back rooms. Fly boards are heavier boards for hanging in sheds, warehouses and animal housing, and the same substrate is used for fly light glue boards.

Glue and paper specification

Fly paper is mostly about the glue. We specify a non-drying adhesive (hot-melt or polybutene-based) with tack and coat weight matched to the use: indoor household paper needs a clean, low-odor glue; barn ribbons need a glue that stays put in heat; outdoor boards need UV resistance. Options include scented (food-grade odor) or unscented glue, transparent or amber color, and one- or two-sided coating. The paper is a coated or kraft paperboard with a release liner or interleaf where sheets stack. See the glue board sizes & adhesive types guide for how we spec this on an RFQ.

Selling fly paper: retail and PCO packs

For hardware, grocery and garden retail, buyers usually want a display-ready multipack with a clear “how to hang” panel, a barcode and a seasonal price point. For pest control operators and farms, plain bulk packs in master cartons keep cost down. We can supply both from the same base paper so one SKU family covers two channels — see OEM & private label and wholesale.

Frequently asked questions

Does your fly paper contain insecticide?

No. Our fly paper is a glue-only product. We describe the materials; we do not claim catch rates or efficacy.

Can you make longer ribbons for barns?

Yes — barn and stable ribbon lengths and widths are configured per SKU, with reels or hanger kits if needed.

Can the glue be unscented?

Yes. Scented and unscented versions are both available; specify on your RFQ.

Do you print on the paper itself?

Yes, logos, grids or patterns can be printed on the paper under the glue as well as on the packaging.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.

Are your traps EPA registered, certified or tested for catch rates?

We supply trap hardware — trap bodies, glue boards, sticky cards and station housings. We do not claim EPA or state pesticide registration, certifications, efficacy or catch/kill rates. Where a lure, attractant or bait is part of the finished product, it can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations for any pesticidal component stay with the brand owner. Test reports can be discussed on request where available — ask on the inquiry form.
