Bug zapper types

  • Hanging / tabletop zappers — a UV or LED light inside an electrified grid, surrounded by a protective outer cage, with a removable collection tray and hanging ring.
  • Outdoor zappers — larger housings with weather-resistant design to the buyer’s specification for patios, barns and yards.
  • Rechargeable lantern zappers — camping-style units that double as a lantern, charged by USB.
  • Racket zappers — handheld rackets with a mesh grid, push-button activation and battery or USB power.
  • Glue-board light traps — the quiet alternative for kitchens: light plus replaceable glue board, no grid.

Construction

Housings are ABS or PP with a metal or plastic outer cage; the inner grid is stainless or plated wire driven by a transformer or circuit board; light sources are UV fluorescent tubes or LED arrays. Output, insulation, cage spacing, plug type and battery are fixed to the buyer’s electrical specification, and we do not claim any listing by default. Easy-clean features — removable trays, brushes, tool-free grid access — are common requests.

Building a zapper range

Typical lines run racket zapper (price) → tabletop / hanging zapper (volume) → outdoor or rechargeable lantern (premium), with spare bulbs as a refill SKU. Zappers sit alongside mosquito traps and fly traps in a summer program — see wholesale. For rodent zapper-style units see electronic rat traps.

Frequently asked questions

LED or UV fluorescent?

Both are available. LED units tend to be preferred for rechargeable designs; fluorescent tubes are common on mains units. We make no comparative performance claims.

Do you make racket zappers?

Yes — battery and USB-rechargeable rackets in your colors and packaging.

Are your electronic units UL, ETL or CE listed?

We do not claim any electrical listing or certification by default. Electronic units are built to the electrical standard, plug type and battery configuration the buyer specifies, and test reports can be discussed on request where available.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.

Are your traps EPA registered, certified or tested for catch rates?

We supply trap hardware — trap bodies, glue boards, sticky cards and station housings. We do not claim EPA or state pesticide registration, certifications, efficacy or catch/kill rates. Where a lure, attractant or bait is part of the finished product, it can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations for any pesticidal component stay with the brand owner. Test reports can be discussed on request where available — ask on the inquiry form.
