Wasp traps reusable and disposable wasp & yellow jacket traps for your brand

Wasp traps are a summer staple of garden, hardware and outdoor-living retail. TrapForge produces reusable hanging trap bodies, disposable bag traps and decorative traps in your colors and packaging. The trap is hardware; the attractant is configured to comply with your market’s regulations or supplied by you.

Wasp trap types

Reusable hanging wasp traps are the core SKU: a translucent reservoir (PP or PET), a colored top with funnel entries, and a hanging loop. Wasps and yellow jackets enter through the funnels toward the attractant and cannot find the way out. The top unscrews for emptying and refilling, which makes refill attractant a recurring SKU. Disposable bag traps are lighter and cheaper — a PE bag with a funnel lid, activated with water — and suit single-season promotions and multi-packs.

Decorative traps (glass-look, lantern or fruit shapes) sell in garden centers and gift channels at a higher price point; hornet and large wasp traps use larger entries and bodies. All of these can share one attractant refill so a brand builds a range around it.

Attractants

Wasp and yellow jacket traps typically use a food-based attractant (sugary or protein-based, depending on species and season) as a liquid, gel or dry powder. We configure the attractant to comply with the buyer’s market regulations, pack the buyer’s own formulation, or ship the trap without attractant. We do not make claims about which species are caught or how many — buyers who want data run their own field trials on samples. See the lure & attractant guide.

Materials and design details

  • Body: PP or PET reservoir; UV-stabilized material for outdoor life on request.
  • Top: colored PP cap (yellow is common) with funnel entries; your logo molded or printed.
  • Hanger: wire hook, cord or molded loop.
  • Base: twist-off or click base for emptying without touching the catch.

Molded parts in a custom color usually need a minimum run per color; printed logos on standard bodies start lower — see packaging & MOQ.

Frequently asked questions

Do wasp traps work on yellow jackets and hornets?

Formats exist for wasps, yellow jackets and larger hornets; which species a trap attracts depends on the attractant and conditions. We do not make catch or species claims.

Can you supply the trap without attractant?

Yes — many brands source attractant separately. We can also configure an attractant to comply with your market’s regulations, or pack your formulation.

Can the trap be in our brand color?

Yes. Custom-color molded parts are quoted per color run; printed logos on standard colors start lower.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.

Are your traps EPA registered, certified or tested for catch rates?

We supply trap hardware — trap bodies, glue boards, sticky cards and station housings. We do not claim EPA or state pesticide registration, certifications, efficacy or catch/kill rates. Where a lure, attractant or bait is part of the finished product, it can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations for any pesticidal component stay with the brand owner. Test reports can be discussed on request where available — ask on the inquiry form.
