Live mouse traps · catch & release

Live mouse traps tunnel, tip and cage traps for catch-and-release ranges

Live mouse traps hold the mouse unharmed in a closed chamber so it can be released away from the home — a growing segment for households with children and pets and for brands positioned around catch-and-release. TrapForge manufactures clear tunnel traps, tip traps, small cage traps and live multi-catch traps, alongside our full mouse trap range.

  • Clear tunnel, tip-style, cage and multi-catch live traps
  • One-way doors, vent holes, bait compartments
  • Clear PP/PET or galvanized wire mesh

Live mouse trap formats

  • Clear tunnel traps — a transparent PP or PET tunnel with a spring- or gravity-closed door and a bait compartment at the far end; the mouse is visible, so users can check without opening.
  • Tip traps — a seesaw tunnel that tips closed when the mouse walks past the balance point; no spring.
  • Small cage traps — galvanized wire mesh cages with a trigger plate and drop door, sized for mice.
  • Live multi-catch traps — low metal or plastic boxes with one-way entry mechanisms, used by PCOs and facilities.

Construction details

Specification points fixed per SKU: body material (clear PP, PET or galvanized mesh), door mechanism (spring, gravity, tip), ventilation holes, bait compartment and refill access, release door design, a stable base and a handle that keeps fingers away from the opening. Colors and logos are customizable on standard tooling. Note that live traps need to be checked frequently — that guidance belongs in your instructions; we print the text your team approves.

Where live traps fit in a range

Live traps usually sit at the premium end of a mouse control line next to plastic snap traps and electronic traps. For larger animals the same cage construction scales up to rat cage traps and squirrel traps.

Lures, attractants and baits can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations stay with the brand owner.

Frequently asked questions

Is a live mouse trap humane?

We describe construction only. Whether and how you use words like “humane” on packaging is your decision under your market’s rules.

Can the trap be reused?

Live traps are designed to be opened, emptied and reset; durability depends on material and use, so we do not publish lifetime claims.

Do you also make standard mouse traps?

Yes — see our full mouse trap range.

Do you make claims about humane, instant or guaranteed results?

No. We describe trap mechanisms, materials and sizes only. Any humane, welfare, kill-speed or performance statement on your packaging is your decision under your market’s rules, and some markets regulate trap types — we print the label text your team approves.

What is the MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.
