Glue trap formats
- Flat glue boards — coated paperboard or PP sheet with a glue panel and release liner; the lowest-cost format and the base of most PCO programs.
- Glue trays — a molded PP or paper-pulp tray filled with a thick glue layer; deeper glue and raised edges for rodents.
- Book-fold / tent glue traps — boards that fold into a tunnel to keep dust and debris off the glue and hide the catch.
- Insert boards — glue boards cut to fit bait station housings and multi-catch traps.
- Insect and spider boards — low-profile boards for baseboards and under appliances (see spider traps).
Glue types and specification
Most glue traps use a non-drying hot-melt adhesive (synthetic rubber based) or a polybutene-based glue. On the RFQ we specify glue type, thickness / coat weight, tack level, color (clear, amber, gray, black), and whether the glue is scented (food-grade odor such as peanut butter scent) or unscented. Temperature matters: a glue for hot attics and garages behaves differently from one for refrigerated food storage. All details are in the glue board sizes & adhesive types guide.
Market rules for rodent glue traps
Several jurisdictions restrict, license or ban rodent glue traps (England, for example, now restricts their use to licensed professionals). Buyers are responsible for confirming the rules in each market they sell into; we can adapt labeling and pack instructions to what your regulatory team approves. Insect and spider glue traps are generally treated differently from rodent glue boards, but buyers should still confirm local requirements.
Who buys glue traps
Pest control operators (bulk boards and station inserts), distributors serving hardware and grocery retail, private label household brands, and e-commerce sellers. Many buyers run one glue platform across mouse, rat, spider and scorpion SKUs with different sizes and prints — see wholesale and OEM & private label.

Frequently asked questions
Do your glue traps contain poison?
No. Glue traps use adhesive only. We describe materials and make no efficacy claims.
Can you make glue boards to fit my bait stations?
Yes — send the station drawing or a sample and we cut insert boards to fit.
Are rodent glue traps legal everywhere?
Several jurisdictions restrict, license or ban rodent glue traps (England, for example, now restricts their use to licensed professionals). Buyers are responsible for confirming the rules in each market they sell into; we can adapt labeling and pack instructions to what your regulatory team approves.
What glue thickness should I choose?
It depends on the target: insects and spiders need less glue than mice, and rats need trays with a deep glue layer. See our glue guide.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
Both are quoted per SKU. MOQ depends mainly on size, printing and packaging (stock formats in neutral packaging start lower than custom-printed or custom-molded items); lead time depends on printing, tooling and season. Send your quantities and we confirm both on the quotation — see also packaging & MOQ guide.
Are your traps EPA registered, certified or tested for catch rates?
We supply trap hardware — trap bodies, glue boards, sticky cards and station housings. We do not claim EPA or state pesticide registration, certifications, efficacy or catch/kill rates. Where a lure, attractant or bait is part of the finished product, it can be configured to comply with the buyer’s market regulations; registration and labeling obligations for any pesticidal component stay with the brand owner. Test reports can be discussed on request where available — ask on the inquiry form.
